We are proud of our family service model where our older pupils serve at the table encouraging independence, discussions around food and nurturing relationships between our pupils.
Where children do have packed lunches, we encourage them to be as healthy as possible. Click here to access the NHS Change4life healthier lunch boxes website.
After lunchtime, children in Acorn Class brush their teeth to develop good oral hygiene habits in the early years.
Every morning, we run a free breakfast club where children are offered a bowl of cereal.
All of our pupils are offered fresh fruit every day at morning breaktime. Children in EYFS also receive a cup of milk.
Children grow, cook and taste food as part of our Garden School curriculum.
We have an afterschool cooking club.
Our pupils learn about the importance of healthy eating through our science, PSHE and garden school curriculum.
We ensure our pupils take part in events and trips that provide opportunities to further their understanding of making healthy lifestyle choices.
We work with The Bread and Butter Thing to provide our families - and the wider community - with access to affordable, nutritious food.
